Attention Job Seekers: Avoid Falling Victim to False Promises! In the wake of the recent layoffs at Daraz, LinkedIn has been flooded with messages of sympathy and offers of support. However, not all of these gestures are genuine. Many are simply jumping on the bandwagon without any real intention of hiring. It's disheartening to see job seekers being exploited for likes and followers, especially during such challenging times. The last thing anyone needs during layoffs is false hope and empty promises. To those affected by the Daraz layoffs, exercise caution. While some may have good intentions, others may be looking to capitalize on your situation. Trust your instincts and conduct thorough research before engaging with anyone offering assistance. We believe in ethical recruitment practices and are committed to treating all job seekers with respect and fairness. Don't settle for anything less. Let's stand together to ensure that every job seeker is treated fairly and with dignity. #DarazLayoffs #EthicalRecruitment #SupportingJobSeekers

Happy Friday, network! It seems the past two weeks have been impacting my network more and more with additional layoffs. I have to say...job hunting is quite different these days. I even got a rejection email to an application kindly telling me that they closed the req because they received, no lie, 3500 applicants, and are weeding out anyone that doesn't have an MBA. Wow! To those hunting, I wanted to share some encouragement and some things that, while I'm still finding my next home, have helped me! Work your network. Do not be shy to reach out to someone letting them know you are on the market. Vulnerability is a beautiful thing. As Brene Brown says, "Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity." This is how I've gotten my resume in front of people and have gotten the chance to actually talk to a human! And if I know anyone at a company you are interested in, let me know! Review anything that you are using AI to generate. I have spoken to several people who are hiring that have said, "If I can tell the cover letter was written with AI, I dismiss it. I am looking for authenticity." It's ok to use it, but make sure you add your personal touch that differentiates you from others using the same job description to cover letter AI tools. Most importantly, stay positive. I know it's hard. It can be painful, too. I am someone who gives my all to my job and my company, so getting laid off, while not personal, can feel that way. But, have faith in your skills, your ability, and what you can bring. You are the only you there is, and you are awesome! Everyone, do something kind for yourself this weekend!

After the recent layoffs at Daraz, it seemed like everyone on LinkedIn was expressing sympathy and claiming to be hiring to offer support. However, many of them were simply following the trend, and those who reached out discovered there were no actual job openings. It's unfair to exploit job seekers for likes and followers, especially during layoffs when people are already stressed about their livelihoods. To those affected by the Daraz layoffs, be careful. While some may genuinely want to help, others might try to take advantage of your situation. Trust your instincts and do your research before getting involved. Let's ensure that all job seekers are treated fairly. #DarazLayoffs #EthicalRecruitment #BeSupportive

I Help Seasoned Professionals Land 6 Figure+ Roles They Truly love | Job Search Expert | Former Recruiter | Founder
I used to work as a recruiter. Of all my co-workers, one stands out. Dozens of job seekers affected by layoffs contact her on LinkedIn every day. She does not delete the messages or ignore them. She forwards all the resumes to her network. And she does not get paid for that. It's just a sign of kindness while layoffs are rampant right now. Create opportunities for those who do not have them. #careers #jobsearch #jobseekers #humanresources

Like others, I have experienced a major influx of Inmail and emails from recruiters since I retired my #opentowork banner and started at Fruth Group. The irony isn't lost on me, and for some reason, even in the current market, with an endless amount of non-performance-based layoffs like mine last February, there's still bias when it comes to someone's employment status. There seems to be an idea that employed people are more employable. "All the good ones are taken." This couldn't be any farther from the truth. I try to do my part by forwarding these comms to someone on the search and often referring the recruiter to a colleague and writing a sentence or two about what makes their working style and output remarkable. It's something we can all do that takes five minutes and can help get more talented people in front of recruiters and hiring managers. So instead of hitting delete, take five and forward that baby to someone who might be interested. Extra points for sending the recruiter a quick referral, something most of them appreciate.

Hello everyone I hope everyone is doing fantastic! A few bogus things have caught my attention. I therefore considered sharing with you all. I have seen that in today's society, people are well aware of the state of the market and layoffs. Some people publish phony job listings. I want to ask that everyone stop doing this and not mess with the feelings of a real job seeker who has been idle and looking for work all around. If you agree, kindly spread the word. #spreadtheword #fakepostings #stopfakepost #linkedin #postforyou
