As someone who started to go through the job search process, I know how scary it can be. 😨 My most valuable tip for those looking for a job is to focus on networking, creating a routine, and staying positive and prepared. It's important to remember that job searching is not a "spray-and-pray" approach. You can increase your chances of success by networking and building relationships with others in your field, creating a routine to stay organized and on track, and maintaining a positive attitude 👍 . Today I committed few hours to determine the road map of my career and apportion time and monetary cost of getting there. Why is this important? The career landscape is very dynamic and until you map out your journey, everything you hear or see will always derail you. Advantage of having career roadmap 1. Helps you determine who to network with 2. Helps you analyze the viability of your career projection. 3. It becomes a baseline against industry changes 4. You can plan your domestic life around this. When you can take vacations, get married, have more kids, retire etc 5. Helps determine if your current location is the best place to be in your pursuit to maximize your value to the marketplace ? You have to put it down in writing…..where do you want to be ? By when?

Hello LinkedIn community, the job market remains challenging and competitive. Over the past 4 months, I've encountered firsthand the frustrations of being ghosted and left in the dark during a job search. Every day I see the same stories on my LinkedIn feed.....people like me who have been out of work for months still searching.....applying for job after job and seeming to get nowhere.  Despite these hurdles, I remain optimistic about finding my next opportunity. Sometimes your job search can feel like you’re alone in the wilderness, no map or compass, sitting at a lake wondering how you’ll get back to civilization. Ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but you get the point, right? Here are 3 strategies I would suggest putting into play: (1) Get Specific • You should know exactly what you’re looking for in a role. This means comp, location flexibility, industry, etc. (2) Utilize Network • First, I would reach out to people in my network that may work at a target company or an adjacent one. Of course, it’s always best to network BEFORE you’re looking for a job. Plant those seeds early and often. P.S. — Also use the “hiring in my network” feature when filtering jobs to see if this brings any fruitful “warmer” opportunities. (3) Be Consistent • No job search is “easy”—and definitely not in this market. Opportunities can sometimes be far and few… but this doesn’t mean it’s hopeless. People are finding jobs everyday—and I love seeing those posts. Stay consistent! TL;DR: (1) Be Specific (2) Utilize Network (3) Be Consistent Happy Hunting—you can do this. #Recruitment #JobSeekers
