The first step of achieving anything is to determine your goal. Our goal is the complete liberation of Palestine. We don’t know when this will be achieved but that doesn’t change the goal. In fact it should help us focus on the steps required to achieve this goal. Israel and the US are fully aware the way to thwart this goal is to continue leveraging the support of the treacherous Arab rulers who are the first line of defence of the Israeli entity. Therefore if we want to realise this goal our focus needs to be on challenging the Arab regimes, as they hold the key to liberating Palestine.

While Israel’s response has the full support of the majority of European countries, some dissenting voices are making themselves heard and calling for a ceasefire. So, what role is Europe playing in the Israel-Gaza war? And how has its support for Israel changed over time? On UpFront, economist and former Greek minister of finance, Yanis Varoufakis, joins Marc Lamont Hill to discuss Europe’s historic responsibility and current role in the Israel-Gaza war. Also, and Most importantly, the U.S. Government's Role in this Tragic Genocide against the Palestinian People, the U.S. Government (Biden Administration) can put a Stop to the Bombardments and Ethnic cleansing, Land seizure, and Demand a Cease-Fire Now, Today, and Back it up with action against Israel.!

Believe it or not, Hamas could be telling the truth. As a negotiating partner, Hamas is purporting to represent all of Gaza in any hostage deal. But Hamas may not be holding most of the hostages, maybe not even more than a fraction of them. And it may not be holding the loyalty of most Gazans. Early in the conflict, Hamas' #1 rival in Gaza, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), claimed credit for most of the southern invasion, where most of the hostages were taken. I never saw a denial of this claim from Hamas. On the eve of the invasion, PIJ was polling at around 60% approval among Gazans, Hamas at only about 15%. So, who's benefiting here? Netanyahu, politically beleaguered, was perhaps only propped up by the invasion. Hamas hoped to unify Gazans. PIJ hoped to leverage its much higher approval rate and unseat Hamas in the current chaos or in its aftermath. Hostages are clearly the coin of the realm in this negotiation -- Netanyahu is getting domestic pressure for a deal from the families and friends of hostages, as well as other Israelis. Netanyahu has, in the past, openly defended aid going through Qatar to Hamas, because he prefers a divided Palestinian national movement. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't favor a different kind of split. One of the ironies here is that Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt supported the rise of Hamas as well, but for a different reason: they felt that PIJ was counterproductively violent. Would Netanyahu maneuver to throw the advantage to PIJ now? Hard to say. Israel has negotiated with PIJ at least once in the past. At the moment, Netanyahu doesn't need to. He can "speak" louder than words with the combat targeting just by focusing disproportionately on Hamas. Pressure that Hamas will read: "He'll go with our rivals if he thinks he has to." If in fact PIJ is holding most of the hostages, this approach has the added advantage of keeping PIJ hostages safer than they'd otherwise be. https://lnkd.in/gRRZ-c6M

🇮🇪 Ireland Recognises the State of Palestine 🇵🇸 Ireland has officially recognised the State of Palestine, effective May 28th. This landmark decision follows decades of debate and advocacy throughout the island. Notably, Ireland was the first EU member state to call for the establishment of a Palestinian state in 1980, making this recognition a long-awaited and welcome milestone. While this is a significant step forward, it is crucial that Ireland continues to build on this progress. Immediate and concrete actions are necessary to address remaining issues, particularly concerning trade, arms, and important questions relating to the use of Shannon Airport by US military aircraft - all of which continue to raise serious concerns. ⚖️ Furthermore, the unresolved matters surrounding the Occupied Territories Bill and the Illegal Israeli Settlements Divestment Bill require urgent attention. 🏛️ Great work today, but there is a lot more to be done tomorrow! #Gaza #Palestine #HumanRights #Humanitarian #CeasefireNow

The announcement by Hamas that it was now 'suddenly' accepting a hostage exchange deal is a predictable effort to stop the momentum of Israeli tanks rolling towards Hamas's last stronghold of Rafah, southern Gaza, and to disrupt Israel's evacuation calls for 100,000 civilians in eastern Rafah, which would begin to strip away the terror organization's mass human shields, I told I24 tonight. Click here for the video: https://lnkd.in/dMxdNvRn The Israeli war cabinet must carefully study Hamas's latest position, and to verify whether Sinwar has really accepted a deal that does not include a commitment to a permanent end to the war. This is the clause that Hamas has insisted on for months, and which has led to the failure of every round of talks so far. Another trap that Israel must look out for: Hamas's effort to recruit everyone - the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, and the international community, to act as its proxy pressure lobby designed to force Israel to accept a permanent truce after the first stage of a deal, paving the path to a Hamas takeover of Gaza once again. If Hamas has actually changed its position, this would be welcome news and would create a real opportunity to free hostages, but if this is another stalling tactic, the operation will continue. In the meantime, the IDF has indicated that it will not pause, as the Israeli war cabinet verifies the situation.

A picture worth a thousand words
They all lie. Israel's ambassador to the UK - Tzipi Hotovely claimed "Mowasi" is a safe haven in Gaza that civilians can take refuge in. It isn't.

Change is coming
Now on the border line between Israel and Gaza. We're marching together, Jews and Palestinians, while settlers are marching 500 meters from us and trying to establish new Israeli settlements in Gaza. We say exactly the opposite: we demand to end the war and the occupation, to release the hostages and to bring about an Israeli-Palestinian peace that will guarantee freedom and independence for all.
