Founder @ Bingo Loco | Competitive Socialising, Corporate Events. Selling 350,000 tickets a year over 750 events in 120+ locations globally
On January 1st, I made the move to the United States to expand Bingo Loco after 7 successful years organizing bingo raves in the UK, Irish and Australian markets. Here's a glimpse of my 10 key learnings from this exciting journey: - Researching Local Markets: Understanding consumer behavior, preferences, legal requirements, and competition was crucial for our expansion. - Crafting a Clear Strategy: Defining objectives and strategies tailored to the US market's nuances, from big cities to smaller markets. - Compliance with Local Laws: Adhering to state and city tax regulations was essential before approaching new territories. - Cultural Sensitivity: Adapting our show to local norms and business etiquettes in the diverse US market. - Effective Communication: Hiring local staff and adjusting humor and language to resonate with different audiences. - Building a Local Presence: Establishing in-person connections to demonstrate commitment and trust. - Strong Partnerships: Managing relationships uniquely to be adaptive and responsive. - Supply Chain Management: Developing a local logistics strategy for efficient operations. - Hiring Local Talent: Investing in performers who understand regional differences and audience preferences. - Continuous Adaptation: Regularly reviewing and adapting strategies based on market feedback and conditions. In the last few months: - 32% of states have operational setups (Pink) - 26% have operations pending (Orange) - 42% are part of the roadmap ahead (Blue) Excited to continue this journey of growth and adaptation in the dynamic US market!

CARROT or STICK? I stopped by Aldi yesterday and had a simple epiphany; they used a "carrot" to solve the problem of carts (or buggies, if your Southern like me) not being returned where they belong. They instituted a creative but very simple system that requires a quarter to get a cart. You can get your quarter back when you return your cart. It's that simple. What a genius solution to a maddening problem. But WHY do folks return the cart? I would argue that most folks will put their cart in the corral without manipulation. But what about the rest? That's where this wonderful plan comes into place. They incentivize people to do what they should do automatically. And here's the best part... IT'S YOUR QUARTER!!!, not Aldi's. Put the cart where it goes and the use of that cart costs you nothing. Don't put it back and it costs you a quarter. How can you apply this principle? #askgreatquestions #aldi #simplesolutions #carrot #stick

April fools day! There is widespread debate as to the origin of today, but one thing we can all agree on, and that is we need to to be more critical of new information-especially on April 1st. Remember that time Taco Bell said they bought the Liberty Bell and was going to change the name to the Taco Liberty Bell? Why do we feel the need to try and “fool” someone anyway? Now I still like to have fun, but #salesprofessionals if you are trying to fool a customer you are in for a rude awakening! Buyers are more informed, and smarter, than they have ever been, and I haven't found one that forgets when a sales rep tries to mislead them. This week, share new information honestly, you will gain your customers respect. Who knows you might just create a lifelong customer in the process! #mondaymotivation #sales #aprilfools

Founder & CEO @ChatPandas | Bridging Cultural Gaps & Redefining Customer Services through AI-Powered CX Strategies
Every human is limitless in their unique way. Their capacity to dream and set goals knows no bounds. And honestly, age is just a number, nothing more. We can observe this simple truth in the examples of: - Colonel Harland Sanders, who started franchising Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at 65. - Sam Walton, who opened the first Walmart at 44, revolutionizing retail. - Arianna Huffington, who launched The Huffington Post at 54, becoming a media pioneer. And the list goes on… Inspirational, indeed! For these dreamers and go-getters, every year is another chapter, another chance: → To set lofty goals. → To pursue new dreams. → To redefine success. P.S. What’s your next dream? Share it below.
