Many thanks to Dick Tanenbaum and his wife, Glenna, who made a significant contribution that will have a lasting impact on the lives those experiencing homelessness. The Tanenbaum's donation has funded the expansion of the patio at Lottie House, our peer-run drop-in center in Oklahoma City, transforming it into a multifunctional space that serves as both a heating and cooling station. Last year, Lottie House had more than 16,000 knocks on the door in 2023. This new facility is a critical addition to our center, providing a safe and comfortable refuge for individuals experiencing homelessness, especially during extreme weather conditions. #lottiehouse #endhomelessness #housinghealingwholeness

Part 1 Meet Megan: She spent twelve years navigating the unforgiving streets, battling addiction and facing the consequences of her choices. She moved from homelessness to prison and back again, but she refused to let her past define her. Despite the hurdles, Megan found stability through employment while she lived in an abandoned building and worked hard to face her legal obligations head-on, committed to paying her fines and working with MHAOK toward stability. A Better Way is our employment program that offers not only an alternative to panhandling, but an opportunity to gain permanent employment.
