“By focusing on a smaller, more specialised and narrower market, you have a better chance of being heard by the customers and people you wish to impress. Those precious impressions are often more meaningful, lucrative and profitable.” From the book ‘Make Your Own Luck’ by Bob Miglani and Rehan Yar Khan.

"To find meaning in life, we have to reach inside ourselves: define the few things that we care about, the things we want to love and devote ourselves to, the things we are good at and enjoy. Having found these things, everything else is trivial." - Pitch by Hamish Mckenzie Read the summary by Dianne Coppola - https://lnkd.in/dfPjCdZE Get the book - https://lnkd.in/dJgKk4-i

Frustration isn't fun, but it’s not a bad thing. It means you care. Take advantage of your frustration. Use it to get mad. Then to go from anger to determination and finally to taking bold action. (This is one of the lessons in the book, "The Shortcut.") #thelugeman #makeitanolympicday #makeyourlifeanadventure

I finally got around to reading James Clear's Atomic Habits, a gem of a book, on the recommendation of the ever-useful Tom VAN DER LUBBE. It was well worth it. Here, I share the book's basic idea and how I've successfully applied it to sales, a field that used to be my bête noire. So far, it's been transformative. This is well worth a watch if you need help establishing a habit in sales or any other aspect of your life. Get the full book here https://amzn.to/3JWrXFr

8moI have met and invested in many startups that started out focusing on just one city, such as Box8, Country Delight and Pharmeasy. They later added other cities. Other startups started with a single product, like Druva which offered labtop backup before adding other products. When a company has limited resources it needs to develop a single narrow market.
