Patriotism, fun, and camaraderie filled our office while we celebrated the 78th Independence Day!
We had a wonderful time with exciting games, quizzes, poems, competitions and patriotic songs. A day to remember India's glorious past and inspire our future!

IDEA 💡:
Of those who created an account after March of 2020 ➡️ Who is the strongest? Chess.com
Then eliminate GMs who did speed runs and try to weed out all who had prior chess experience.
I doubt my rating would be one of the highest but I’d give any that started playing around the time I did a run for their chess money!
Then host an event for “the strongest athletes who began chess during Covid lockdown!”. Give each of us one training session with a GM or professional streamer in case that could help promote their brands, lessons or books before we compete! Maybe even a “phone a friend” button where we could call on our chess coach for a hint once each game?
- Like the Voice where each musician gets a vocal coach to iron out the kinks before they perform!
- Like PogChamps with much better overall quality of play!
Benefits?:
- Entice friends who stopped playing or even deleted their accounts to start back up! (Many of my high school and college friends who I quit bugging stopped in mid 2021).
- Complexity of moves won’t be so much that it intimidates beginners or friends considering chess… but quality enough to provide commentators examples to explain the rules and basic ideas.
- Shows the chess humans are inclusive and patient with people who did not grow up playing chess as long as we take their beautiful game seriously!
🙌♟.

A Final Pack Up !!!
For eight months, from mid-2020 to April 2021, I poured my heart into "Yuganayak Shivray," a 3-hour musical concert celebrating the life of King Shivaji. With fifteen songs penned and a theater booked, we were ready for our debut. However, the second wave of COVID-19 swept across India, forcing the cancellation of our premiere.
Despite an initial investment of INR 100,000 and countless hours of practice, restarting after the pandemic proved impossible due to team members' evolving priorities. Sadly, the musical remains confined to notebooks.
Art as a Risky Venture:
From my experience, I see art programs as akin to startups. Like movies, plays, and dance performances, they begin with just a concept. Brainstorming sessions bring together directors, writers, and other collaborators to breathe life into the idea. Unlike startups, most art programs follow a waterfall model, progressing through pre-production, production, post-production, and finally, the big reveal. Tight schedules, logistics, intellectual property concerns, legal processes, and the ever-present need for marketing consume significant resources.
Marketing itself poses a major hurdle. Industry wisdom suggests spending as much on marketing as on production. Yet, validating an art program's success is incredibly challenging without significant investment. Even replicating successful elements doesn't guarantee a positive
outcome. This begs the question: how do we analyze the risk factors inherent in art programs?
The "Yuganayak Shivray" Dilemma:
We released the title song to gauge audience reception, and the positive response boosted our confidence. However, the project has been on hold for two years. The team has dispersed, securing funding is difficult, and staging just three shows requires a minimum of INR 500,000. Despite our conviction in its potential, a feeling of uncertainty looms.
Art programs often have a shelf life, pressuring producers to recoup their investment quickly, leading to a high risk of failure. While "Yuganayak Shivray" boasts a unique selling proposition and a sizeable target audience, the path forward remains unclear. Sometime its better to move ahead with limited loss.

..the collective intelligence and whole being of a sports team, emerges not only from their members, but also includes their fans. So, a sports team’s success is not only linked to their skills, talent and bonding but also to the larger being they create along with their fans...When a sports team wins, it is as much a victory of their fans, as it is theirs.

Recently watched the movie "Aadujeevitham" (The Goat Life) on Netflix, and I was profoundly moved by the story of Najeeb. His journey through unimaginable hardships in a foreign land, with nothing but his sheer will to survive, highlights the extraordinary power of resilience. Najeeb's unwavering determination and mental strength in the face of dire circumstances are a testament to the human spirit's ability to endure and overcome. His story reminds us that resilience isn't just about bouncing back from adversity, but about enduring it with a sense of purpose and hope.
Ibrahim's powerful statement, "we have to walk untill we die" resonates deeply. It underscores the importance of never giving up and continuing to strive, no matter how difficult the journey. This message is incredibly relevant to our daily lives, reminding us that persistence and determination are key to overcoming challenges.
Najeeb, Ibrahim, and Hakim's story is a powerful reminder that no matter how dire our circumstances, resilience and support can be our saving grace, guiding us through the darkest moments towards eventual triumph. Let's draw inspiration from them and cultivate resilience in our lives, learning to face our challenges with courage and determination.
