🚀 Day 2 of my 7-day space scrapper project in Unity VR is here, and it's been a day full of exciting progress! 💫 Today, I focused on making the first interactions in my game truly immersive. Interactivity is at the heart of any great VR experience, and I'm thrilled with what I've achieved so far. 🕹️ First up, I implemented the grab and throw mechanics using the Unity XR Toolkit. Now, players can grab objects and throw them into a vortex trash can, adding a fun and engaging element to the game. 🌪️🗑️ To enhance the immersion, I added a feature to disable the hand model while grabbing objects. This subtle change makes the experience feel more natural and intuitive. 👐✨ But that's not all! I also created a pistol that players can grab and use to break objects into little pieces. This adds another layer of interaction and excitement to the game. 🔫💥 I'm beyond excited to see how these new mechanics enhance the overall experience.
