🔥💨 Well, hello there, my fellow cannabis enthusiasts! We all know that cannabis can be a jolly good time, right? 😁🌿 But sometimes, things can get a little hairy. 😱 Yup, we're talking about the infamous 'bad trip'. No, not the kind where you lose your luggage at the airport. I’m talking about when your relaxing toke takes a turn for the unpleasant. 😓🎢 So, why does this happen? Several reasons: 1️⃣ Overdoing it with edibles or high-THC strains. 👉 Start low, go slow, folks! 🐢💨 2️⃣ Dabbing like there’s no tomorrow. 👉 This ain't a competition. Respect the potency! 🚀🙅♂️ 3️⃣ Bad vibes from the environment or your current mental state. 👉 Set and setting matter. Keep it cool and positive! 😎🌴 And the symptoms? Paranoid much? 😰 Hallucinations? 👀 Dizziness? 🌪️ Sweating and physical discomfort? 😖 Yeah, not fun! But fear not! There are ways to combat this. Take a chill pill (metaphorically!), change your setting, hydrate 💧, breathe 🌬️, or pump some CBD to counteract THC's effects. 🌱 Jamming to your favorite tunes 🎵 or nibbling on something sweet 🍫 can also do the trick. And prevention? You bet! Stick to low doses, avoid using when feeling down, choose a positive environment, and only consume with people you trust. And for Pete's sake, don't skip your beauty sleep before lighting up! 💤🛌 Remember, folks! Cannabis is a beautiful plant with so much to offer, but like anything in life, moderation and mindfulness are key. 🌿🔑 Bad trips are the exception, not the rule. Over the weekend, I participated in the #Baltimore Shamrock 5K race, which sparked a lot of conversations around the potential #benefits of using cannabis before #exercising to increase #mobility and afterward for #recovery. Every day, I run between 2-4 miles each morning. I call it taking out the #mental trash to prepare my mind and body for the day. To enhance this, over the past two years, I’ve been experimenting with cannabis before and after my run. Here is what I learned thus far: Before running, I discovered that if it’s edible, it must have a 1:1 ratio of CBD and THC and no more than 5mgs total. Anything more than 5mg of THC alone, and my muscles start cramping, and it’s not a fun time. If I smoke, three to five puffs max is perfect. My jam is any flower containing considerable amounts of Linalool, a- Pinene or b-Pinene, and Myrcene. After running, I’ve discovered that 10mg full spectrum CBD-only edibles eliminate any joint or muscle pain. My body feels so good that I’m rarely able to keep from falling asleep.
