Enjoyed delivering the keynote on #stablecoins at the 5th annual Mathematical Research for Blockchain Economy conference in Spain chaired by the esteemed William Knottenbelt of Imperial College London. We explored topics including; - How stablecoins have amassed over $160bn in deposits (driven by Tether.io, Circle, and Paxos) and are in escape velocity - Stablecoin taxonomy and different forms of stablecoin constructions - How USD stablecoins underpin the blockchain economy and represent over 99.3% of stablecoins today (cc CoinGecko) and are a leading market category and product export to non-crypto users - The evolution of US dollars from physical notes to digital dollars to tokenized dollars, and how new regulation is helping set a standard - Anatomy of $USDT with its large T-Bill supply and how stablecoins are a trojan horse towards progressive crypto regulation - Domestic networks and where activity is occurring; with Ethereum leading in issuance and Solana in volume - Opportunities with yield-bearing stablecoins reviewing Mountain Protocol's $USDM and Paxos's $USDL; and how centralized and decentralized exchanges can benefit from adopting these stablecoins to increase client deposits and increase trading activity

Nice presentation Michael Petch In one of the slides you mentioned EFT issuance and redemption. I assume that’s a typo and you meant ETF
