I had another great discussion about #quantumcomputing with Yuval Boger on his Superposition Guy's Podcast. It was my third appearance with him, but this industry is changing and innovating so fast, there is always a lot to talk about. TL;DR: we need national and regional industrial policies if we ever expect to get big and powerful enough quantum computing systems to solve useful problems.

🎙️ Just listened to an insightful podcast StarTalk – Quantum Computing with Michio Kaku https://lnkd.in/ePPXcCpK "Electrons can be two places at the same time. And a quantum computer. They are in all orientations at the same time. That's why they are infinitely more powerful than a traditional digital computer. And who uses this mother nature " Key Takeaway: A qubit differs from a classical bit in that it takes advantage of the principles of quantum mechanics. While a classical bit can exist in a state of 0 or 1, a qubit, represented by a spinning electron, can exist in multiple states simultaneously. Imagine a spinning top that can spin not just up or down (representing 0 or 1) but in all directions simultaneously, including everything in between. This ability for a qubit to exist in multiple states at once makes it vastly more powerful than a classical bit. This unique capability allows quantum computers to perform computations in parallel universes, making them exponentially more powerful than traditional digital computers. This quantum phenomenon is harnessed by nature, enabling quantum computers to process information in a fundamentally different and more powerful way than classical computers. #Podcast #KeyTakeaways #techeducation
