Mmm, this is sexy! 😍😍😍 Let’s go Europe. Wake up! “It’s so bad that, by now, Europe is considered a meme in the international startup ecosystem. Not a place that innovates, but that – at best – ‘only regulates’. A place ambitious people ‘have to leave’.” Sadly, this is true, and it’s a goddamn shame. Europe needs a sense of urgency, because the rest of the world isn’t waiting around for it. https://eu-acc.com/ #tech #technology #innovation #deeptech #startups #entrepreneurs #entrepreneurship #vc #venturecapital #money #business

What’s wrong with incorporating your startup in Luxembourg - the Delaware of Europe? 😱🤪

Germany and France looking at the stars and just knowing that they, surely, are the top star

Europe has 3x saviors: - remote work for local talent (will help stop brain drain + US FDI into CEE as well) - Nordics & CEE (different mindsets/regs vs old Europe) - UK & US jurisdictions for setting up biz ;)

It may sound unbelievable, but they are acting like fragmented bunch of small countries because that is exactly what they are. Establishing somewhat stable peace among entities that spent a millenium at each others throat was a multigenerational project. Expecting EU to be as agile in fostering innovation as unified country like USA (or the other one of comparative size and more advanced economy than EU) is childish. Sure, there is no reason for Europe to not be more ambitious. Improvements , creative ideas and solutions are always a good idea. I am glad these accelerationists offered so many of them... oh wait

In fact, it's quick, cheap and non-bureaucratic in the Baltics. But then a U.S. investor will of course ask you to flip to somewhere in Western Europe, if not Delaware, and voila, the dance with notaries can begin 🤡 There for sure could be a better way, hence, I applaud this initiative. Plus, the logo is lit 😻

Surely there are some countries somewhere in Europe that do startups kind of ok?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm really new and need some guidance. This has been my experience I wanted to apply for Startup in Canada, we talked to accelerators and in 2 weeks everything was basically done, for personal reasons, I chose to move to Europe instead, in here, we have to wait for a single signature 2-3 weeks! in our process the countries laws has changed 2 times! and this is for a product that has an MVP, has been tested, has pilot customers in Europe! Everything in here is slow, and when we asked around they say keep calm, why are you rushing? Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't startup a speed game? isn't it supposed to be wild and fast!? That's how we learned the game, so please give me some guidance and help me understand how is everything in EU, Thank you.

It‘s so bad we don’t even have a proper co-founder matching platform such as YC‘s, let alone fast fundraising and believing in young founders. Looking forward to seeing some change…

It’s totally to do with a happy desire for bureaucracy . All of Europe thrives on it Mainly due to history. I remember going to an EU council meeting on the future of the web years ago and it was this bizarre cliquey collection of academics and politically minded people who cynically milked the EU cash cow with their mediocre businesses . All they did was childishly point score against the USA . I left an hour in to have a beer and never returned . Europe will never be a monoculture and 2000 plus years of distinct and discreet histories would tend to back that up . That’s why it fails .

Michael Jackson You are right - but did you know there is a Way for commercial innovators to actually create this Urgency and Fix Things? Its pretty basic. Northern Europe is overfloated with Public Innovations and Startup support and acceration initiative. Same goes for SME business. Growth incestives. Many of these are offered as verious free or discounted counceling or accelerators. A lot of those is in Direct competition with Commercial equivilants. Which if documented is in Direct Violation with the Fair Competion Regulation of EU. Thus if Commercial Players accross Europe comes together and Document this… … and ger a few Rich benificinary Patriots to fund a Collective lawsuit. You could as a community of commercial players Force a good part of the Public Pseudo Experts to self destruct by loosing the funde I have just set the alarm Clock for this Law suit to May 2027 So far only in Denmark which is the system I know intimitet enough by now to take appart piece by piece based on Them violating base Free Inner Market EU Law. To create Urgency I have shared this plan and ambition with several Key played in the danish publicly Founded (anti) Startup and innovation Eccosystem.
