In April we kick off the next phase of our #ReforestingBaran project. The work is front loaded to do as much work on the ground before the monsoon rains in the summer. There are huge economies of scale meaning that the more funding we have, the more that can be done, and the more that is done, the more benefit can be evidenced......already in 2024. FRIDAY FUN FACTS 🤡 Did you know...focusing on the smallest amount of either accrued or remaining progress of donations increases motivation to donate by creating an illusion of fast progress.💨 Let's say you are trying to raise $10,000. At the beginning, mention the accrued progress: "We raised $1000". After you cross the halfway point of $5000, switch to the remaining progress: "Only $4000 left". In both cases, you mention the smaller number. Each donation will feel more impactful compared to the reference point. This is a bias called the small-area hypothesis.
