I can hearing my mother’s voice as I write these words; “Everything that glitters, isn’t gold”. It appears that many people have forgotten the joy, innocence and freedom of looking at life through a child’s eyes. Children tend to see simplicity. If we could only look at the world with a child’s eye and see beauty in everything. In my opinion we are all broken in one way or another. However, for some the scars are on the outside and for others they a buried deep inside. Those scars represent a life lived, challenges overcome, changes to still be made and strength for withstanding. Insight for today…. Much of our lives are spent trying to conform to what others think of us. We conform so they will like us. In our conformity, we deny pieces of ourselves, and slowly grow to be resentful of those we have conformed for. When people walk out of our lives, we seem surprised. It is our fear of self acceptance that prevents us from fully expressing every aspect of ourselves. As a result of our own insecurities, we fall short of self acceptance. Because we do not fully accept ourselves, others find in difficult to fully accept us in return. Self acceptance is an inside job. Hard lessons everyone should learn in their life 1. You will be replaced no matter who you are. 2. No matter how well you show it, the people around you will believe whatever they want. 3. You may not be your best friend's best friend. 4. Every human being will give more importance to the person they love than the person who loves them. 5. There is no eternal happiness. Throughout your life, you will continue to strive for one happiness after another. In other words, there will never be complete satisfaction. 6. The smarter you are, the more people will avoid you. 7. Simplicity exists in rich people as well as poor people and you don't have to have that much money to realize that money isn't everything in life. 8.
