When innovation meets fun. No, no, this is not a skiing resort in a city. No. It's the cleanest waste-to-energy power plant in the world! Check it out: Some fun facts: 👉 In Denmark, 53% of waste is transformed into heating and electricity.  👉 No toxins are coming out of the chimney  👉 Skiing is free - if you use the stairs 😉 👉 Vegetation changes upon seasons 👉 400 different trees  👉 50% of the facade is transparent and changes color with the sun  👉 The grass grows through the matt By BIG ----------- Follow Michal Ukropec for more 3D, digitization, and Industry 4.0 trends | #innovation #startup #digitaltwin

And who operates this is good but who generated the waste to be burned is bad? But with no waste, how will that operate? They need a lot of BAD WASTE from bad people LOL.

This is really cool. But on the other side, Denmark is producing around 800 kg of waste per person which is much higher than for example in Eastern European countries (in Slovakia below 500 kg, in Poland even below 400 kg) so although they have great % of recycled waste, total story can look different...

These kind of practical solutions are needed in developing areas that lack both sufficient energy and proper waste management.

One more green fact - they build it in the "middle" of the city to shorten the routes of garbage trucks.

This is truly a remarkable blend of sustainability and recreation! It's fascinating to see how urban infrastructure can serve multiple purposes, enhancing both environmental and social well-being. This project is a testament to how innovative design can address waste management challenges while creating engaging community spaces. It would be interesting to explore how such models can be scaled and adapted to other urban environments globally. Kudos to the team behind this visionary project! 🌍🏔️ #SustainableCities #UrbanInnovation

This is truly a remarkable example of how sustainable technology can be seamlessly integrated into urban life, creating multifunctional spaces that benefit both the environment and the community. It's inspiring to see how the design not only addresses waste management but also promotes outdoor activities and green spaces.

Awesomeness

What a fantastic blend of sustainability and community engagement! Denmark’s approach to turning waste into energy, combined with these fun features, is pure innovation. Skiing on a power plant? That’s next-level thinking! 🌍🏂

I've been there and climbed the stairs... amazing place ! You could go there without noticing you're up on a waste-to-energy power plant, just enjoying the vista or having fun. Danes are crazy enough to conceive and built this, and that's why I love them. And by the way a good opportunity for Danes to practice skiing without having mountain nor snow
