Which brand is your “lovemark”? Developed by Saatchi & Saatchi, this was a term that I first learned in grad school while taking an incredible marketing course with Prof. Oded Netzer. A lovemark is a brand that isn't just purchased or used, but absolutely adored. More specifically, a lovemark is a brand you’ll spend extra money on, even when there’s a cheaper option right in front of you. It’s the brand you’ll walk 10 additional blocks for, even when the competitor is around the corner. It’s the brand you choose over and over again because you just love it. “What’s your lovemark?” soon became one of my favorite ice breakers at dinner parties, a question I asked of all my family and friends, as well as everyone I met. Which brand would you go the extra mile for because you believe that it goes the extra mile for you? Dunkin' x Cinnabon Autumn Collab: Marketing Magic for My College Project I'm thrilled to share the exciting marketing project I recently led for my college course! We were tasked with developing a promotional strategy for a dream collaboration: Dunkin' and Cinnabon, with an autumnal twist! ☕️ The Challenge: Combining the beloved flavors of Dunkin' coffee and Cinnabon's gooey cinnamon rolls, while capturing the essence of autumn, was no small feat. We had to understand both brands' target audiences, identify their synergies, and craft a campaign that resonated with coffee and pastry lovers. Our Winning Strategy: Here's how we tackled the challenge: Theme: "Warm Up Your Fall with Dunkin' & Cinnabon." We leveraged the cozy vibes of autumn, focusing on comfort, warmth, and indulgence. Products: We proposed limited-edition autumn-inspired beverages like the "Maple Pecan Latte" with a Cinnabon swirl and the "Spiced Apple Cider Donut." For food, we suggested a "Pumpkin Spice Roll" with a Dunkin' coffee cream cheese filling. Promotions: We created engaging social media campaigns with fall-themed visuals, influencer partnerships, and interactive contests. We also proposed in-store activations like aroma diffusers and autumn-themed decor. Community Engagement: We partnered with local cafes and bakeries to host autumn-themed events, offering special discounts and merchandise. We were commended for our creativity, strategic thinking, and understanding of brand synergy. Beyond the Classroom: This project was a valuable learning experience, allowing me to hone my marketing skills and gain real-world insights.
