If there’s one thing wedding planning has taught me, it’s that when you have a million things you 'should' do and are so many ideas and options, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what to focus on. Whether it’s planning for a special day or making a big business decision, it’s all about organising your thoughts and turning that sea of options into a clear, actionable plan. Sometimes all it takes is a cup of coffee, a 'few' post-it notes, and a 90’s playlist to cut through the noise and get everything in order. Turns out, I work with some like-minded people who thrive on helping organisations figure out what needs to be done and turn that sea of options into a solid, actionable plan. I’m not sure they agree with my music choices though… Anyway, if you ever need help clearing the mental clutter, I’m always up for a chat. Side note: Writing this felt just as awkward as it might be to read, but hey, in tough times, we’ve all got to step out of our comfort zones. Let’s see how cringey the next one turns out! I did exactly the same for my weddings - yes I had 2! One AU and UK reception and boy was it overwhelming! Chunking and treating it like a project really helped me as there was felt like so many decisions that needed to be made….some I could t care less for (colour of napkins…like who cares?!?!) My biggest challenge, asking for help/deligation but my partner was great at calling a project style scrum meeting with my bridefriends to go through activities and start distributing. It made it so much easier - good luck with your wedding or the wedding your planning 👍🏻
