Clean room design. For modern clean room design, we are very concerned on energy efficiency especially when the clean room is operating on very high air changes to achieve the low class of ISO required. Fan filter unit whether as ECM fan, vsd fan or just constant speed fans are very popular as not all air flow is required for cooling. But all air flow is required to be filtered, thus returning some air through the fan filter unit which is located above the room may proves to be huge energy savings for high air changes. What are lighting challenges of Ultra-cold Spaces? The most important aspect is to ensure that the light is effective enough to provide a clear, unobstructed view of the interior space while also being suitable for a cold environment. This means that the fixture should be able to withstand extreme temperatures and be designed to reduce the risk of frost and condensation. Additionally, the light should offer a wide range of illumination levels and be energy-efficient. As the classes of clean room goes higher ie from ISO9 to ISO1, the air changes requirement to achieve the restriction of particles count also increase. Similarly the cfm/ tonne also increases. However, the cooling load will not change much as it is dependent on the process load. This will mean that different strategy in acmv design is required to be adopted to pass only section of the return air to cooling coil as Cooling coil limitation is about 400-450cfm per tonne.
