Hard launching the first blocks of the new and improved 16th Street Mall. The first section of 16th Street is back open after construction. Grab a seat on a patio and enjoy this iconic piece of Downtown Denver. It looks great out there, and it's only getting better!
Even if you candy coat a rotten apple to disguise its appearance, you still have a rotten apple
Absolutely LOVE seeing KOA Newsradio out there! Localism at its best. Keep up the great work and ignore the haters. They’re just jealous bystanders.
Walked this mall for years and glad to see this revival. Well done!
Looks incredible!! Can’t wait for the remainder by end of year. #development #adaptivereuse #commercialrealestate
The door to the yellow brick road. Are we in Kansas yet?
That’s good news Mike Johnston. I’ll plan a visit soon to check it out.
Great work Mike Johnston and team. I’m happy to see this area turn around with these improvements. Keep up the momentum of helping make Denver even better!

3wI love what you are doing in general for our unhoused citizens, and support your policies, overall. It seems like you have prioritized cleaning up the downtown convention area at the cost of other neighborhoods, however, and that is not fair. Southeast Denver near Hampden and I25 and Yale and I25 is overcome with drug addicts living on the streets. What was a beautiful place to raise a family for many decades has now become a war zone, in just a few short years. So many meetings with the business community and the city, and it continues to get worse. I literally watch them take and sell drugs outside my business window every evening. The police non-emergency number has enormous wait-times and we almost never get through. Calling 311 about these issues just has us referred back to the police non-emergency #. It is an endless loop of frustration. Those who live in this area are angry these people are "swept" to the perimeter of the city via lightrail. We have relatives coming next week from another state and I am ashamed to have them see the trash everywhere on the ground here. I absolutely hate living in Denver now.
