We need big ideas and bold solutions from every sector to tackle climate change. On July 10-13, Bloomberg Live is bringing together business, government, and community leaders to share solutions for the future of our planet at the #BBGGreenFestival in Seattle. I hope you'll join us. https://lnkd.in/eUPNQ-x2

Let’s start by putting the jetliner up for sale. By the way, all of your computer technology how are you dealing with the carbon overload. Love you Mayor, but get back to reality, get some coffee and smell it.
No thanks.
Funding and finding the right professionals are huge roadblocks for innovative climate solutions. I'm working on a very promising energy solution myself, but navigating the path to getting it funded and proven is a challenge.
Truth is everyone has to pitch in and make sensible and efficient decisions. Hybrid work helps. Stop driving large SUVs for small grocery trips. Use less plastic by using fewer single use bottles? Limit AI and cryptocurrency mining? That is better than draconian measure like outlawing gas stoves. Move nations in Africa and Asia from burning wood and coal. Use nuclear more. There are more smaller incremental things we, the 3-4 billion, people in the developed world can do than the one BIG idea.
Interesting event

Side mortgage for 100k on new home construction. Basically setting up each home to be a mini power plant with solar ,wind and battery storage. Couple that with 2 or 3 EV's that's a major dent x100,000's to millions who can acquire that credit. Might even put a few to thousands of dollars back into someone's pockets in energy costs and selling left over energy back to the grid.
We can't wait! 🌍

3wPer 2024 y. "The Guardian" article: "A mere 57 oil, gas, coal and cement producers are directly linked to 80% of the world’s global fossil CO2 emissions since the 2016 Paris climate agreement". I think about this article each time when I go with my small bag of foil into spot with yellow wastebasket ;) Looks like all world community hard work can be almost irrevelant if these 57 big corporate companies will not change their policy soon. I keep my fingers crossed you guys will address it as only people like you have power to strongly push the change on this area and save the future of "our" children.
