You can rest and still make progress. If you want to avoid burnout, it's vital that you take time to step back, relax, give your mind a break, and provide it with an opportunity to clear. But even on your "rest" days, your mind won't necessarily stop. So what to do? Take a morning walk. Take your phone. And as you walk and relax and let your mind wander, it's probably going to tell you things that you might not hear over the course of your normal work day. And when it does, speak them out and record them on your phone. This provides three benefits: 1) You get great ideas - ideas that might not see the light of day unless given some breathing room to germinate - and you record those ideas for future use. 2) Your mind can truly relax, knowing that you've captured ideas that it's been subconsciously working on for a while. 3) You're out for a walk, which provides physical exercise, rejuvenating your body and better preparing you for your next work session. Breaks are powerful. They will make you a better creator, and a better business builder and owner. So relax! And keep your business building and growing.
