I’m happy to share that I’ve finished Architectural and Mechanical Drawing Reading Course from Engineers House | بيت المهندسين! That course is presented totally free from within the students training initiative from Engineers House | بيت المهندسين. This course included: - The criteria of understanding and reading of the architectural drawings. - The criteria of understanding and reading of different mechanical drawings ( HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, medical gases, swimming pools and water fountains). - The concept of shop drawings.

I'm delighted to present this Certificate of Achievement obtained from The Council Training Academy for successfully completing the course titled "Design and Implementation of Mechanical Systems for Facilities." The course, which spanned a total of 100 hours, took place from August 19th, 2023, to November 18, 2023. Course Overview: This course offered both theoretical and hands-on instruction in the realm of designing mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting within various construction projects. It encompassed the utilization of local and international codes, standards, and software tools. The following systems were covered: 1-HVAC: Topics encompassed load calculations, employment of HAP Software, unit selection, duct design and sizing, pipe design and sizing, air terminal design, HVAC accessory design, AutoCAD-based installation, as well as the development of tables and details. Additionally, the course delved into Chilled Water, VRF and Split unit systems. 2-Water Supply: The course covered the selection and calculation of pipes, pump calculation and selection, domestic water supply systems, hot water supply systems, underground and overhead water tanks, as well as fittings. 3-Plumbing: This segment delved into pipes' selection and calculations, different plumbing systems, considerations for cesspools and local lines, and techniques for rainwater collection, Manhole design and calculations. 4-Swimming Pools: Participants learned about swimming pool classifications, mechanical parameters, schematic diagram creation involving pumps, and heating systems. 5-Firefighting: The course provided insights into firefighting systems, pipes, utilization of sprinklers software (Fire Elite), as well as pump-related aspects, risk classification.

Grateful for the 30 hours of intensive training with Arab International Academy under Eng. eman yaghi's expert guidance, where I mastered HVAC, drainage, water supply, and fire fighting system shop drawings, along with mechanical composite sections and detailed illustrations. The Design Standard Series provides me with a broad range of knowledge and an in-depth grasp of the purpose and significance of the items in the plans. It provides me with fresh perspectives and new  skills, such as, analysing based on data,critical thinking,  in addition to reading and following what is written in the plan. As a child who was captivated and solely concentrated on structural aspects of a building, it was beyond my expectations that I enjoyed learning different standards from various areas in engineering, particularly architectural and other disciplines in engineering such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Moreover, this training makes me eager to study more about other fields and explore innovative ideas in the future combining with my existing knowlege. Note: I'm still perplexed by the concept of air conditioning in an elevator.
