🤖 I’ve worked with dozens of HR teams on their AI in HR strategy. Here are seven things I’ve learned that can help you shape your AI strategy. In the buzz surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) in HR, it's easy to get swept up in the excitement. While the consensus is that an AI in HR revolution is on the horizon (if not already here), the reality is that both HR teams and technology providers are still navigating the landscape, seeking to fully grasp its potential. Here are seven of my learnings that can help as you develop your AI in HR strategy: 1️⃣ Beware of Shiny Object Syndrome: Simply labeling a product with "AI" doesn't guarantee its sophistication or suitability for your business. Scrutinize technology vendors to ensure alignment with your specific needs. 2️⃣ AI is a Daily Reality: Recognize that AI is not a distant future concept; your employees likely engage with it in their daily lives. Understand their interactions and preferences, leveraging insights into their usage, such as with enterprise-specific versions of ChatGPT. 3️⃣ Data and Content Quality is Paramount: AI heavily relies on data, making data quality non-negotiable. Clean, accurate data forms the bedrock, ensuring the insights derived from AI are reliable and actionable. 4️⃣ Augment, Don't Replace: Position AI as a tool to complement and enhance human capabilities, not as a replacement. Striking the right balance fosters a symbiotic relationship between technology and human expertise. 5️⃣ Integration into Enterprise Strategy: Maximize the value of AI by integrating it seamlessly into your enterprise strategy.
