The internet is a blessing and a curse.
It's a curse because we're all so connected and yet, I believe, the zeitgeist of our time is loneliness.
It's a blessing because, it's the internet! It's awesome.
We're all so connected, we're exposed to experiences that would have otherwise never been, and so it's important to fight for it, right?
But it's a scary thought fighting for something you believe in.
And I'm by no means an activist, I don't even like the word, but I try to be a good human.
And I want to feel empowered to effect real change. But how?
Well, I have an idea.
I'm putting together the framework for an open-source art collective that turns bad news (real news stories) into good news.
And by good news, I mean "brands of good news".
Sound interesting?
We take awesome new things for granted way too fast.
For example, the existence of the Internet still blows my mind.
Especially given that it mostly remains free from government control. Let's keep it that way!

Have You Seen Videos That Seem Too Incredible To Be True? It might just be a deepfake.
Deepfake AI creates audios, video and images that appear real.
Here are some tips to help you spot these digital deceptions:
Look for Visual Artifacts: Deepfake videos often have inconsistencies in facial features, lighting, and reflections. Pay close attention to details like hair, teeth, and backgrounds.
Check Eye Movements and Blinking: Natural eye movements and blinking are hard to replicate perfectly. If something seems off, it could be a deepfake.
Analyze Lip Syncing: Misaligned lip movements with the spoken words are a telltale sign of manipulation.
Scrutinize Image Quality: Watch for unusual blurring or pixelation, especially around the edges of faces or in areas with complex details.
Use Detection Tools: There are great tools out there, like the Deepware Scanner app, Sensity AI, and Microsoft Video Authenticator, that can help you analyze and detect fake.
Remember, critical thinking is your best defense. Question suspicious videos, cross-check with trusted sources, and use the tools available to you. Together, we can fight back against digital deception.
Stay informed, stay vigilant, and protect the truth.

Many regulations out there are either voluntary or self imposed.
Governments are racing to put some guards around data capture, usage and storage, however it remains difficult to implement.
