Did you know that emissions of process gases nitrous oxide (N₂O) and methane (CH₄) from wastewater and sludge treatment account for 60-70% of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by wastewater treatment plants? 🍃 Understanding and mitigating these emissions are pivotal steps towards achieving a more sustainable future. At Variolytics, we optimise wastewater processes by offering targeted monitoring for wastewater treatment plants. With our technology, treatment plants save energy costs and chemicals and reduce the generation of greenhouse gases in aeration tanks. You can find more information about wastewater monitoring on our website: https://lnkd.in/dYXDNtA6 #variolytics #wastewater #netzero #sustainability

During the last years, several efforts have been made to calculate the Carbon Footprint of different battery technologies, mainly lithium-ion. Analyzing the most relevant studies of recent years, it is established that CO2 emissions per kWh of lithium-ion batteries are in a range between 70 and 170; while for solid state they are between 75 and 120; and for sodium batteries between 80 and 110. In the case of lithium-ion batteries, it is the cathode that, as a general rule, contributes between 27 and 39% of the impact. Understanding these values is essential for several reasons. On the one hand, it helps to understand the multiple challenges faced by the sector, such as the intensive use of energy, the extraction of critical raw materials, the coordination of actions throughout the value chain, the increase in demand for batteries or the exchange of sensitive information. In addition, it enables the development of a strategy aimed at both informed decision-making and innovation in design and manufacturing. It also involves transparent disclosure that encourages competition based on environmental performance, developing cleaner and more sustainable technologies that can differentiate themselves in the marketplace. FOWE’s cavitation process allows for the emulsification of fuel oil with fresh water without the need for additives. The results are impressive: a substantial reduction in particulate matter, NOx, and SOx emissions, while achieving 8-10% better energy yield due to improved combustion. FOWE’s technology offers a stable and effective solution for reducing the environmental impact of furnace oil, providing a viable alternative for industries seeking to improve their environmental footprint and achieve greater fuel efficiency. By integrating FOWE’s Cavitech technology, companies can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future. #SustainableEnergy #FOWE #FuelEfficiency #CleanTech #GreenEnergy #GHGEmissions
