Say hi to Alice!
She joined our London family in November 2019 as a Commis Waiter, and later transferred to the reception department. Last year she was part of our opening team in Limassol! Alice recently moved to Dubai as a Junior Reception Supervisor.
Why did you choose to work in reception after working on the floor?
My first experience in the hospitality industry was as Commis. After some time, I realized that it wasn't the best fit for me. However, while working with LPM in London, I was given the opportunity to join the reception team. I enthusiastically embraced this opportunity because I wanted to engage more with guests and establish meaningful connections with them.
As a receptionist, how do you go the extra mile to enhance the guest experience?
I believe that the most effective way to interact with guests is by being genuine, offering a friendly and kind approach, and extending a warm welcome. Another crucial aspect of our role in enhancing the guest experience involves remembering their preferences and anticipating their needs.
How did being part of a restaurant’s opening influence your growth as a Receptionist?
Being involved in the opening of LPM in Limassol has been a valuable experience for me as a receptionist. It has taught me to be organized, adaptable, and to work under pressure. During the pre-opening phase, I assisted with various tasks, including staff training, menu preparation, and ensuring that the new joiners will follow the LPM standard and family spirit.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Managing high-stress situations in a busy operation. Unexpected issues can arise, such as unhappy guests and complaints. Handling these situations with grace and finding quick, satisfactory solutions can be demanding. However, I see these challenges as opportunities to learn and improve.
