Kids in a candy shop Meeting clients at their turf is something we in Esgian Shipping absolutely cherish as it gives us a unique opportunity to engage with our users at the personal level. Discussing current and future functionalities will ensure that we spend time and resources on developing insights valuable for our clients - short and long term. Yesterday Simen and Stian went on a little roundtrip down to Gothenburg in Sweden to visit our very first automotive OEMs Volvo Cars and Polestar at the latter's nice premises. We even managed to squeeze in a quick rendez-vous at Lynk & Co where we got insights into their innovative approach to both automotive sales, customer journey and well, office decor 👏 As the two travelling Norwegians are slightly "above average" interested in cars, they highly appreciated also to see some really cool cars including ZEEKR极氪's new 001 bound for the Norwegian market next year and some... well, not even launched globally. Let's celebrate !! 🎈 Today marks the two-year anniversary of FORVIA, and on this occasion, we're celebrating across the group with what we call #FORVIADay—a day filled with events, meetings, and celebrations at all sites to commemorate the second anniversary of our young group. It's sometimes good to remind ourselves that we are only two years old as a combined Group, as we often feel like FORVIA has always been there, forgetting that everything in place, making FORVIA what it is, is very new and was built in such a short period !   Indeed, the second year has been intense again. We have continued to establish our brand and equip it with what is necessary for an international brand within an international group. We have developed its reputation and brand image, exposed ourselves to some major events under our common name for the first time, strengthened our teams to be stronger, launched statutory assets like our employer brand campaigns to present ourselves to talents, etc., and we have also launched our values. It's a subtle exercise to be carried out as it requires us to ask ourselves some intimate questions about who we really are and how we want the company and its people to act together. There are six values, all important and functioning together, but if I have to be fully honest, I have my favorite one from the list since the beginning, the one that resonates with my personal feelings and that I find quite applicable to this second year of FORVIA: "DRIVE." Especially drive with vision because when you're building an international brand from the combination of two big companies, you need to know where you're going, you need to be clear about what you want to achieve, you need to lead... in other words, you need to Drive with Vision.   I force myself to be clear with my team, to give a vision, a direction. It’s, of course, not always perfect; sometimes I hesitate, I change my mind, I doubt, but I always force myself to be clear in the direction and I expect others to do the same. We can all make mistakes, but when we make a decision, it is crucial to lead and clearly drive the chain of actions to reach our targets.
