Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) America's Annual Conference 2024 in Puerto Rico along with Paige Nelson. MAPS provided me with several key takeaways on the current state of Medical Affairs, the opportunity to learn more about the systems and solutions changing this industry and invaluable lessons from tenured Medical Affairs leaders. I look forward to watching Medical Affairs grow and change while playing a role within it as we support our clients' Medical Affairs teams and leadership here at Mix Talent. If you also attended, I’d love to hear more about your thoughts and lessons from MAPS 2024 in the comments below! #medicalaffairs #MAPS #MAPSPR24 #jointhemovement

TEQ 2020 which verdict is expected to be heard shortly from Delhi high court. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare though given orders to revert the 1998 TEQ with regards to Medical Msc/Medical MSc+PhD teachers to NMC twice. And recently National MSc Medical Teachers association (NMMTA) had organised a protest against the NMC policies at Jantar Mantar on 21-08-2023. Globally 60% -80% Faculties in these non-clinical departments are MSc+PhD are serving the CBME very well. CBME is new to India but it’s a normal practice Globally. It seems the NMC wants Monopoly in the system which will fall the whole medical education system indeed failing the medical system. Medical system is a team work, where all the members like ANM, GNM, ASHAs, BHMS, BAMS, MBBS, MD, Medical MSc/Medical MSc+PhD etc all work together hand in hand to strengthen the medical services and achieve the SDGs effectively, NMC monopoly and Biased regulation are rendering to create more of faculty shortage in medical education and also leaving several well qualified members to either brain drain or become a non-productive human resources. Being less in number our representations are usually disregarded by NMC. Vipul Aggarwal
