We have introduced AptaBERT, a novel computational approach for predicting aptamer binding interactions. Capitalizing on our extensive aptamer database, AptaBERT employs self-supervised pre-training and supervised fine-tuning to enhance the accuracy of predicting aptamer interactions with proteins and small molecules. The model achieves remarkable performance, with an ROC-AUC of 96% for protein interactions and an 85% ROC-AUC for small molecule interactions, surpassing existing models by at least 15%. It offers an efficient alternative to traditional selection methods like SELEX. Thanks to all contributors!
