On cerium-140 - Neutron tunneling between dimensions may select for an energy level with a low cerium-140 cross section. This energy level of tunneled neutrons might have the same cross section for nearby elements causing greater capture - less stability. It should be possible to model tunneled neutrons resulting in greater capture for nearby elements where cerium-140 has a much lower cross section to agree with experiments.

We understand the performance of fusion generators by measuring neutron yield at Helion. Here is a look at the inside of our silver diagnostic. Thermal neutrons activate the silver, which is sandwiched between slabs of organic scintillator. The silver beta decays into the scintillator, the excited scintillator responds by emitting blue light, and the light is converted to electrical signal via a photodetector.
