One of my favourite Friday rituals with a former team was what we called our “win of the week” where we’d gather for a quick chat (or asynchronously) share a highlight from our week. It could be something you accomplished or enjoyed, recognition you got, etc. The main things were it prompted reflection and celebration, and boosted team morale. Highly recommend some form of this to send everyone into the weekend on a winning vibe. And if you want to get extra intentional, we used to do something similar on Mondays where each of us set a key intention to tee up anticipated wins. They don’t have to line up exactly—often times, there’d be surprise wins—but the practice of setting one key intention and celebrating one key win each week helps people clock the traction they’re making from week to week (which can be hard to see when you’re working on big projects that last weeks, months, or years). P.S. On that note, I hope you celebrate a win today before you sign off for the weekend!
