⛵️🥰🥇 I had another remarkable experience aboard SY St. Christopher during the #Voilesdantibes 2024 regatta. As experts know, each regatta is unique, but this one in Antibes was truly special. Perhaps it was because I felt like a 'prophet in my own land', in my beloved Antibes (my adopted land), where I've grown professionally in the yachting industry. ⛵️ During moments of calm in the race, I reflected and realized that every circuit is much like life itself. You can have the best vessel and be surrounded by a great crew—professionals who know exactly what to do at any moment, who know how to delegate and hold me accountable during various manoeuvres. Yet, as in life, unforeseen challenges arise that force you to bring out your best. To do so, I had to be physically, mentally, and spiritually present. 🧘🏻♀️ This week, the regatta demanded the best of me. There were times I doubted I could measure up, but I did it, and that made celebrating our first-place win all the more gratifying. 🥇 I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my dear friends, Daria Cabai and Valentin Martin for their kind invitations, for allowing me to learn and enjoy each race despite the challenges we faced. Thanks also to Sam Tucker, Juan, Valentin Campero, Aleix, and of course to Alberta Longanesi Cattani, Mikaëlla Dupuy, and Gabbi Richardson for all their support and camaraderie. I am so touched by these proufound words... It is so true that these old casks can distill the best (team) spirit out of those particular ingredients that we put in. It is no secrets that it also involves a dose of fear, sweat and blood. Today St Christopher sails on with les VOILES D'ANTIBES in her wake... but the vivid memories persist!
