Ecologists members of extinction rebellion blocking the Cannes airport and two private jets with three remote controlled cars with coloured smoke during last years festival of Cannes were fined 700 euros each, but the fines were relaxed after their lawyers pleaded it was just a symbolic political action. Safety has to be first principle and should have been the message. Big picture Three ecologists risked the lives of four pilots and passengers of two jets, where’s the fraternity and equality in that democracy and law enforcement when a minority risks lives. No, I don’t like everything that is happening these days, but I still love this country and show respect for our flag, nonetheless. Did you know that there are specific guidelines for flying and care for our flag? Flags should be sized appropriately for the pole they’re flying on. A rule of thumb is that the flag’s length should be one-quarter to one-third of the flag pole’s height. A 20-foot flagpole, for example, would need a flag that’s at least 5 feet long. Was it luck or good planning? Rider Paul Cassidy is thrown 25 foot into the air after hitting the curb at speed, losing control hitting a wall and then lands on the bonnet of a car and WALKs AWAY!!!! But if you look closely you can see some details that probably saved the riders life: 1. Risk assessment of the location must have been carried out and identified the location as an at risk location as there was crash bags placed at the wall to protect riders in the event of a crash. It shows the planning of the race organizers. 2. All riders are experienced and skilled at what they do- look at the reaction speed of the rider. 3. The riders is wearing full PPE including Helmet, Riders Suit, Gloves and Boots.
