Today, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) published guidance to states and communities on using federal funding to support mental health services for #LGBTQI+ youth. LGBTQI+ youth face a nationwide #mentalhealth crisis, and almost half of LGBTQI+ kids say they seriously considered attempting #suicide in the past year. Our chapter, "Sexuality and Media: Exploration and Exploitation," delves into the complex relationship between media and youth sexuality 📱 In this chapter, we highlight the significant role of digital media in facilitating the challenging process of youth sexual development. We explore the impact of youth's sexual digital media activities, including relationship dynamics online, [non-]consensual sexting, and pornography use. They're FREE!! Sound good to you? Read on for more info ⬇️ The experience of being trans or neurodivergent comes its own set of unique joys, triumphs, talents and hurdles in life. We also know that there is a huge crossover between the two communities, and many trans people are neurodivergent and vice versa. That's why we have created two online workshops specifically for the neurodivergent trans and non-binary community. Each workshop will cover different aspects of well-being, awareness and understanding. The workshops will be hosted by Practical Wisdom's founder, H Davies, who speaks from the experience of being non-binary and neurodivergent.
