Transcript

So it's almost backwards. So instead of having like an optical transmission line, you're bringing electrical and converting it to optical and sending that around the chip. And that really has to do with the fact that the compute devices and the networking devices and things today they're electrical chips, they're you know one of the problem statements is how do we scale that that communication up to very large scale efficiently. Plug-in optics have been used traditionally to do that in a lot of networking and server equipment, you know where you have an electrical signal that goes out to a cage. But that signal might be going you know several inches before it before it gets to the cage where you do the electrical, optical conversion. In the case of the things that we're building, we're just doing it like right underneath the signal bump of the of the ASIC. So we're using 3D integration to to take you know digital ASICS, you know accelerators, CPU, GPU's what what have you and and doing that conversion very close to the to the signal source that gets a lot of power. Efficiency gets it. There's a lot of efficiencies that come with that, a lot of density. Also just the ability to escape a lot of of bandwidth and in a very dense fashion.
