Whether it was finally landing that elite client, spearheading a game-changing new initiative, or leading your first major project across the finish line - you know the blood, sweat, and trials paved along that path. That breakthrough didn't come easily. Few things to take away from the Miami Grand Prix 2024: 1️⃣ Savor the win with gratefulness. Attending the Formula 1 British Grand Prix last weekend was not only an incredible racing experience, but also an opportunity to witness an emotional story about perseverance that left fans with tears in their eyes and happiness in their hearts. Backstory: Sir Lewis Hamilton is a 17+ year veteran driver and a highly decorated 7x World Champion. However, like the rest of us, Lewis hasn't experienced victory and success without also experiencing trials and doubt - and that's what makes his story so relatable. Imagine going from... - Being the best in your industry best for 7 consecutive years --> Losing 300+ times straight. - Having the best tools & technology to give you the competitive advantage --> Making due with what's been provided and having no control over it. - Knowing that without a doubt others see and value your expertise --> Wondering if your experience, advice, and recommendations is falling on deaf ears. - Feeling unstoppable and fiercely confident --> Feeling doubt and uncertainty. Have you ever experienced anything like this? These are just a few of the challenges that he has experienced in the last 3 years with the Mercedes team. After breaking his 945 day losing streak and winning his home race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday, Lewis revealed to reporters that he experienced self-doubt in his talent, pressure from his team, and wondered if he would ever win again! I found it incredibly brave to be vulnerable about his personal challenges. It clearly resonated with 200k fans as many were left in tears. Lewis gained the respect of even more F1 followers through his example of humility and gratitude on Sunday - a lesson we could all use. Witnessing this first hand taught me: 1. Nobody is exempt from facing challenges. 2. Even the best of the best can experience doubt. 3. When in doubt, "get up" and, "dig deep" as Lewis did. 4. Find strength in those who support you - your team, your family, or even your fans. 5. Cling to positive moments and focus on finding inner-peace daily. Trials and challenges are what mold us into stronger and grateful people, even 7x World Champion Formula 1 drivers. Thank you Lewis for sharing your victory over doubt with all of us!

I used to be a F1-fan, or more specifically, fan of Michael Schumacher, I watched most of his races after he switched to the Ferrari team. That time, one thing that always amazed me, aside from Schumacher (he retired in 2012), was the F1 pitstop. During that time, the average time taken for the pitstop crew to change 4 tyres was about 9 seconds.  Isn’t that amazing? Because when I go change tyre in tyre shop, they can’t even do it in 9 minutes (after deducting the time to do alignment and balancing, which wasn’t needed for F1 race etc). How is it possible to do it any faster than 9 seconds.. right? Today, the F1 teams are doing it under 2 seconds! Change all 4 tyres in under 2 seconds. The thing is… To go from 9s to under 2s, someone has to believe that it can be done first, before someone figure out the exact how. And certainly, the person who believed that it can be done cannot be an idiot, it has to be based on a theory that is plausible. And how does one come up with that theory? By knowledge, wisdom and sound reasoning. Plus the courage to take action and embrace failures and friction in between. So the next time you think that something is “impossible”, just bear in mind that someone out there may already have a theory on how to make it possible. So then, what would you do next?

Last Sunday, I was watching the Formula 1 race. Suddenly, my friend asked me a question "Why do you watch all the F1 races? It's just cars going in tracks." which got me thinking about what motivates me to watch F1 again and again For me, Formula 1 is more than just a race. For instance, let me share some insights from last weekend's race where the 7-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, demonstrated remarkable composure. At the start of the race in lap 1, Lewis Hamilton, driving for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team had contact with his teammate George Russell, causing him to exit the race. It's astonishing how Lewis remains calm amidst such chaos. This quality is something I deeply admire about him. I've never seen him overly excited; he's simply incredible. This is why Lewis is a 7-time world champion. Beyond his exceptional driving skills, he possesses incredible humility and understanding. He accepts responsibility for what went wrong, rather than blaming external factors. I appreciate his mindset. In a series where minor technical advantages can determine a winning car, Lewis's attitude speaks volumes. 📌P.S: In life, when you lose something, remember that you can't control every situation. However, you can control your attitude and your actions to bounce back. Avoid dwelling on the uncontrollable or blaming others. Journey not finished

The fastest driver always wins the race ... right? 🏎 Wrong. The winner of the race is whoever travels the pre-determined distance in the shortest amount of time. It's easy to assume this is always the fastest driver, but in racing you should never assume anything.  Some races change dramatically on the final lap. Some, even, on the final corner. There are occasions when a driver is able to outperform his or her competitors not in lap time, but in strategy or ingenuity. The driver can out-wit the rest of the competition to gain an advantage and sometimes it leads to a win. This is what racing is all about. It is the very heart and soul of racing. This is why those of us who commit every single day to motorsports do what we do. The underdog can win not from a fluke chance (although this can also happen), but because he or she found a way to win. A strategy. A loophole. Something no one else thought of. We find a way to win. It often upsets people who are not used to being outsmarted. But that is what motorsports is. It's very simple. You either find a way to find a way to win. Or you lose.
