In Women in Life Science Denmark, we are thrilled that Minister of Business Morten Bødskov together with Minister of Interior and Health Sophie Løhde, Minister of Education and Research Christina Egelund, and notably, the Chairman of the Life Science Council Lars Rasmussen, have today presented new recommendations for the life science sector: https://lnkd.in/eMBd-f6X Especially the recommendations to support growth initiatives and strengthen education and attraction to the sector are crucial. In this regard, we urge utilizing the whole talent pool. It's somewhat paradoxical that 53% of individuals employed in the life science sector are women, whereas only 20% at the executive level are women. We can do better. #dkpol #lifescience #pharma

That's us [picture in post]! Women of Duke-NUS all gathered in one room, learning together and inspiring one another. Last week, we were graced by the presence of Amy Abernethy, a powerhouse in the field of healthcare and life sciences, who, over a session at Duke-NUS Medical School, humbly shared her career journey from medicine to academia, tech, and government, and now back to tech/industry. What struck me at the sharing session was how she talked about navigating challenges and finding her way through resilience, perseverance, and guidance from many great mentors and role models. But, most of all, the secret sauce that holds it all together and guides her back on track every time lies in her #purpose and the constant checking in to ensure that her every action and ambition is tethered to her goal of bringing meaningful research and therapeutics to patients. Thank you, Amy, for generously sharing your journey and insights, and a special shoutout to Jenne Foo for organising this session. Reflecting on “purpose”, I know the talk about purpose is often taken lightly because of the overuse and association with grand, lofty goals, leading to a perception that it might be more of a buzzword than a meaningful concept. Here’s what I think: It is true that no one “cures cancer” at their work desks on a Wednesday afternoon. But what we can do is to contribute to it (or to what we have chosen as our worthy goal) by giving our best effort, driven by passion and purpose. That, to me, is what it means to live and lead with purpose. 😊 #HealthcareInnovation

Since we launched The Regenerative Practitioner Series a decade ago, our network of graduates has grown to over 1000 practitioners in 30+ countries, representing fields as diverse as community development and planning, architecture and the built environment, systems change and climate change mitigation, economic development, regenerative philanthropy and impact investing, social justice, decolonization and indigenous sovereignty, regenerative agriculture, ecological restoration and restorative land development, regenerative tourism and eco-destination development...and beyond. Regenerative development is complex work that invariably enters into uncharted territory. We formed Regenesis Institute to provide deep capacity development and on-the-ground support to the regenerative practitioners who are called to navigate this path. Members of our global community begin their journey with The Regenerative Practitioner Series, a shared foundational experience of the critical shifts in *how we think* and *how we work* that underlie a regenerative approach to development of all kinds.
