Great News, another step to solidifying a cure for this disease.

Last night, the passage of House Bills 397 and 24 marked a huge victory for the 236,200 Ohioans living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, their unpaid caregivers, and families who may be touched by the disease in the future. HB 397 will create a public awareness campaign to increase education and understanding of cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. HB 24 will ensure that Ohioans can access biomarker testing, reducing the time it takes to receive an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and explore disease-modifying treatments and care planning. The bills are key to improving awareness of Alzheimer’s in Ohio. Both bills will go through the state Senate committee process, hopefully by this fall. Please contact your legislators to offer your support!
