#Plastic #circularity is a powerful concept. It has the potential to launch us forward and help us create a greener, more #sustainable future.   Countries and industries set ambitious environmental targets but are still figuring out how to implement circularity. Why? Because the concept of circularity is restricted to plastic-to-plastic recycling. As a result, recycling rates are not catching up with increasing plastic production, and reliance on #fossilfuels fuels is still high.   We can unlock circularity's economic and environmental potential and achieve our goals by expanding the paradigm to include plastic-to-products. It's been a while LinkedIn! More on that later but I've seen a trend and it's annoying me........ Opinions please! How on earth can a product marketed as a sustainable/eco product be sold in a plastic 5ltr container? I understand the circular economy - but doesn't it increase carbon? Collection plus delivery is more routes or is the net carbon less than recycling? Anyone got data on this? Plus how can companies sell an "eco" liquid in a 5ltr plastic bottle that's not circular I get it's not toxic but there no plastic or carbon reduction! What's the net benefit?
