Chennai is typically described as a metropolitan city rather than cosmopolitan. A metropolitan city refers to an urban area with a large population and significant economic and cultural activity. Chennai, as the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, fits this description due to its dense population, diverse economic sectors, and cultural significance. On the other hand, a cosmopolitan city is characterized by its diversity and openness to different cultures, languages, and lifestyles. While Chennai does have a diverse population, it may not be considered as cosmopolitan as some other major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai or Delhi, which attract people from various parts of India and around the world, resulting in a more cosmopolitan atmosphere. https://thehawknews.com/

Delhi Vs Bangalore (Personal View) [1] Delhi: Pros: - Delhi Metro ( No one can argue about that) - Affordable Sharing E-rickshaw - Monuments and places to visit - A little affordable accommodation - Roads in general are better than Bangalore - More Top notch educational institutions - Food (Sorry Bangalore people but no one can beat that) Cons - Pollution - Safety - Extreme Weather - A little Less Job opportunities than Bangalore [2] Bangalore Pros - Weather (Only 2-3 months are hot) - Oxygen - People are a little nicer here - Culture mix and the experience Cons - Traffic Traffic and Traffic - Roads are not up to the mark - Public Transport Pathetic (Most people prefer their own vehicle) - Not many Monuments to visit - Booking OLA/Uber makes a hole in Pocket I feel Delhi has its own Vibe but the Pollution and extreme weather makes it unbearable to live for me. So if you want to take a call: Weather, Pollution, traffic and Safety can be a deciding factor. ➝ Let me know what you like and dislike about these two cities?? #delhi #bangalore #comparision #Opportunities

Tale of two cities. A story of power cuts. And contrast. The first city Bangalore. Has always said. Solpa adjest maadi. 30 years have gone by for me. Still adjest maadi. Not something new. I have experienced this since 1995. For all the development. Expansion. And sprawling but choked infrastructure. This problem remains. The second city. Kolkata. Back in the 80s and 90s in Kolkata. Where 3 -4 hour power cuts were everyday phenoms. Hand fans, candle lit homework hours and sweat filled sleepless nights were the norm. Cut to now. Zero power cuts. Almost. Yet in terms of development as a city. Living in the nostalgia. Almost. Apart from the blue washing and the local dada’s which are a constant there. Folks might say. There is no business or factories or development. Which is why. Could be. But look at CESC. Privatised power enterprise. And probably the best customer service I have experienced. Right from calls to execution. Try doing that with BESCOM. Kick backs and hacks are all you get. Power is a basic need now. Or is it we now have to build our own power plants like Gurgaon? To call ourselves developed?

The summer has been raging in Chennai. As I travelled from my native(Kanyakumari) to Chennai, there has been a drastic change in weather. It's drizzling and pouring in native, whereas there is scorching heat in Chennai. What a contrast of difference within a state. Yesterday I had to travel to Chennai for work and I could sense the heat much more than we experience at home. Even then when I looked at every nook and corner of the city, people were doing the work as usual, they were living the life as normal, they were working hard as usual and the regular happenings were going on as usual. There was no stopping anywhere. When we planned to transition from the USA to India, the first thing that came to my mind to stop settling down in Chennai was the weather. There was a huge difference in the temperatures that prevailed between the place I stayed in US and Chennai. It was either snowing or chilled weather in the place I stayed in US and we can't even compare the weather that existed in Chennai. Still the family wanted us to move to Chennai as it was a little close proximity to native than Bangalore(This city was my suggestion to settle down).. Even though temperatures soar drastically each day, the communication that we provide to ourselves matters the most. The city has been giving opportunities to people, to discover, learn and more. Many of the life's new discoveries has been unravelled here. Life has taken a different spectrum from this place and we found acquaintance with good people through this city. Many life hacks have been easier through different process that we learned here. We have all been living in different places in earth. Each of them having this and that in the process. Every place has its positives and shortcomings. If we focus only on the shortcomings, life will be a rollercoaster ride everyday and we won't be able to work and achieve what we intend to do everyday. Instead, if we can focus on what needs to be done and what could be done to make our lives better, we will be travelling in the productive zone always. #places #changes #transition #communication #innerself #nsrcel #linkedinforcreators

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Chief Operation -New Business I Global Operations I Energy Leadership I Transformation I Qualified for Independent Director I
Bangalore alias Bangaluru became "Tanker City" from esteemed "Tech City". This ill transformation happened very rapidly within last 5-7 years. Unplanned growth in all direction without proper planning of basic needs water supply, drainage systems, traffic density, power requirements, food supply, medical infrastructures, risk planning in case of natural calamities. The list is not large, but every aspect is important before encouraging expansions. That way Hyderabad seems better planned with potential to expand but again, all these factors listed above have to be synchronized with growth of the city.

Why Mumbai is almost 3 times ahead of Bengaluru? In terms of number of Top 500 Most Valuable Companies in India I read a report by Hurun India's Top 500 most valuable companies and here it what it says about number of companies in Indian Cities Mumbai tops the list with 156 companies Second spot goes to Bengaluru with 59 companies That's almost three times less I wonder why there is so much gap between the first and the second spot Here is the complete list of top 5 cities Mumbai - 159 Bengaluru - 59 New Delhi - 39 Chennai - 36 Gurugram - 33 If we see Chennai and Gurugram they are almost 5 times behind Why is this still the case that most top valuable companies are there in Mumbai? In todays time, we have all the facilities in terms of Infrastructure connectivity, Network connectivity, Human resource, Capital everything that is needed in almost all the top 5 cities Yet Mumbai dominates Why do you think so this is the case? Do you think this will change in future?

Describe Bangalore in 2 words. "Great climate!" We all used to say that, right? Lovely climate, evening rains, autumn bloom, etcetera. Not so much anymore! The city is now showing the early signs of environmental degradation. 1000+ wards are experiencing water crisis. It' been months since the last time it rained in Bengaluru. For job seekers, If Mumbai was the city of dreams, Bangalore was the city of opportunities. For professionals, if Kolkata was laid-back where time has stopped, Bangalore was the garden City with a cosmopolitan vibe. It just had everything to offer: buzzing night life, great work-life balance, and its freshwater lakes. But unchecked construction has led to a series of urban challenges. The temperatures are rising now. The traffic has longer wait times. Borewells have run dry. What's next? "We residents are still contemplating while standing in queue and waiting to fill our buckets from the tanker that just arrived." #bengaluru #watercrisis #climatechange #water #carelessness #awareness
