Butterscotch Cottage - Art and Authorship

All cults are experts at exploiting their "rights", in order to walk the fine line of flouting and abusing authority and infrastructure, while assuming that role themselves, and abusing and terrorizing others who challenge them; financially, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. At their worst, they "prey" upon those they feel least able to defend themselves, and thus seek locations where they can grow stronger without interference or examination. With each "escalation and challenge", they grow bolder, confident in the fear and discomfort which comes from the ideas and authority they purport to "represent", although their claims are usually based entirely in fantasy and desired power. In destabilizing existing social environments, they increase disparate and disaffected followers - who they attract as a result of fringe circumstance and placement in society - with their growing confidence, and with the impunity with which they conduct their "fantasies" about who, what, and where they are. They usually begin by promising power and consequence for those who oppose them - particularly in a previously democratic environment, where coexistence is the key to their exploitation and abuse.
