I’ve always been a bit of an outlier (in many ways) but here’s one example: I’ve always liked (even preferred) Southwest’s open seating policy.
Oh well!
From the article: Southwest research found 80% of its customers and 86% of potential customers, prefer an assigned seat. When customers choose a different airline, the open seating policy is the No. 1 reason cited for the change, Southwest reported.
What I can’t figure out is: with numbers that lopsided, seems like they would have figured this out long ago (50 years of open seating according to the article).
