In a groundbreaking move set to transform the European renewables landscape, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), our national clean energy champion, announced a €3.2 billion agreement with GEK TERNA Group of Companies to acquire Greece’s TERNA ENERGY, pending regulatory approvals. Anticipated to deliver significant capital investment in Greece and beyond, this acquisition supports TERNA ENERGY’s pivotal role in Greece’s NECP and the EU’s Net Zero by 2050 goal.
