With starry-eyed hopes, many believe issues of transparency in auto lending can be solved with a blockchain… Here’s why it isn't so simple👇 Fundamentally, blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies were established to create trust in a trustless environment, with no centralized source of truth to rely on. Auto transactions don’t fit the mold — there is a centralized source of truth we all lovingly know as the DMV. My cofounders and I first started working together at the State Department. We saw first-hand how difficult it is to replace government systems with some shiny new techno-fix.
