CAN SOMALILAND RECOGNITION CREATE ECONOMIC OBSTACLES TO DJIBOUTI? __________________________________________ Recognizing Somaliland could potentially pose economic obstacles to Djibouti due to competition for trade, investment, and strategic partnerships in the region. Djibouti relies heavily on its strategic location for port services and logistics, and Somaliland's recognition might divert some of the business and investment opportunities away from Djibouti. Additionally, it could also lead to political tensions depending on how other countries in the region, as well as international actors, respond to Somaliland's recognition.

Multi-Sectoral Accountability Framework to Accelerate Progress to End Tuberculosis by 2030 (MAF-TB), is an operational guideline that demonstrate why and how other sectors, apart from the health sector should be involved in the fight for TB. MAF-TB enhances participation of other sectors in the fight for TB by rendering a structure that lays-out how specific sectors and sectoral specific inputs/resources can catalyze the fight for TB, a holistic approach that has proven to be instrumental in the fight of other diseases like HIV/AIDS that struck the world way later after the onset of TB. Truly, as the world looks into the future and prepares and plans for better ways to address the most pressing Global Health Challenges, Multi Sectoral Approaches abound and will become the norm and this is why Amref Health Africa Tanzania with support from USAID through #Afya #Shirikishi(AS) #TB #and #FP #Community #Solutions #Activity facilitated the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Program NTLP, to develop and Launch MAF-TB in March 2023 and from November 2023, has been cascading its implementation at National level and in AS supported regions. Last week i had a heartfelt discussion with my friends Bisrat Yirga and Tsegaye Fekede on #ESAT TV, on Zemen and Kelem program. we have discussed on how the current Ethiopian generation percept politics, what would like the political participation of this generation and how they exercised politics , how the 60th generation had took part in the politics and how the the aftermath of the global 60th affected the 70th generation and the profound impact of the global 60th political movement on the Ethiopia generation who were at that time. one critical issue that we have discussed was the impact of the 60th generation on the current generation of Ethiopia.

Somalia's Al-Shabaab, the anti-Sufi inheritors (they claim) of proto-nationalist Sufi "mujahid"-turned-nationalist figures; *I will write something at some point (famous last words) longer about this strategic messaging/narrative phenomenon, which we also see with other groups including Al-Qaeda Central vis-a-vis a range of figures including Sufis & even anti-colonial figures with little to no "mujahid" credentials. The Quran describes Gog and Magog, referred to as Yajuj and Majuj, as two destructive and monstrous forces that will appear before the Day of Judgement. Here's a descriptive feature based on the Quran: Destructive and Chaotic: The Quran portrays them as making "mischief in the earth" (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:94). Islamic commentaries interpret this as widespread destruction and disorder. Immense Numbers: They are described as emerging in massive hordes that will overwhelm the earth (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:96). Primitive and Barbarous: There's no mention of advanced technology, implying they rely on brute force and violence. Obscured Origins: The Quran doesn't specify their exact location, only that they were a dangerous people contained by a barrier (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:94). Superhuman Destructiveness: Some narrations depict them as consuming vast resources, like drinking entire lakes dry ( احاديث ). It's important to note that the Quran offers a symbolic description, focusing on their role as harbingers of chaos before the end times.
