Senior Scientist at SES AI

I’m thrilled to share that I have successfully completed my PhD from Stanford University Department of Chemical Engineering! This journey has not only deepened my passion for advancing interphase technologies in lithium metal batteries but also transformed me into a dedicated battery enthusiast. The research on electrolytes and solid-electrolyte interphases for lithium metal anodes, which I had the privilege of conducting during my PhD studies, has been a significant part of this transformation. I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience! This milestone signifies years of hard work, dedication, and unwavering support and encouragement received from the incredible people in my life. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my wonderful advisors: Yi Cui, Zhenan Bao, and Jian Qin at Stanford University; Lynden Archer at Cornell University; and Roya Maboudian and Carlo Carraro at University of California, Berkeley. Your guidance, mentorship, and strong belief in my potential have been invaluable. You have taught me to think critically, explore new ideas, and strive for excellence every step of the way. I am deeply appreciative of the huge support and love from my family, friends, and collaborators. Your presence in my life has been instrumental in my success, and I am eternally grateful. This accomplishment is not just mine; it is a testament to the collective effort, encouragement, and belief from all of you. Thank you for being my rock and my inspiration. As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I carry with me the lessons learned, the memories made, and the incredible support system that has helped me reach this point. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to each and every one of you! As a next step, I will be joining SES AI Corp as a Senior Scientist to develop electrolytes for lithium metal batteries! Leveraging my experience in battery research, I’m excited to contribute to the commercialization of lithium metal batteries at scale. This role presents a significant professional opportunity and aligns perfectly with my long-term goal of advancing sustainable energy solutions. I look forward to collaborating with a team of exceptional scientists, pushing the boundaries of current LMB technologies, and driving innovation in battery development. Here’s to new beginnings, continued growth, and making impactful contributions to the field of battery technology!
