For those who are in business, there is a special hadith regarding charity for traders. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) came to us, and we were what was called 'brokers,' he said: 'O people of trade! Indeed the Shaitan and sin are present in the sale, so mix your sales with charity.' (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1208) This means, if we are businessmen or traders, to avoid being trapped by the temptations of Shaitan in handling our business affairs, we are encouraged to give charity because charity can protect us from sin and Shaitan's temptations while we are engaged in buying and selling transactions. So, increase charity especially if we are involved in business. Those who do business should arrange three things, then their business will shine. 1.# Dua- Ask Allah Almighty for prosperity and progress in your business. 2. #Truth - No matter how big the gain or loss is, don't leave the bottom of the truth. 3. #Charity- Allocate some money from your wealth apart from zakat for charity and when it becomes a small amount, give charity. If you arrange these three things, then, God willing, your business will shine. Transferred

This hadith emphasizes the importance of leaving behind a legacy that continues to benefit others even after one's death. The three exceptions mentioned are: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity): This refers to any form of charity that continues to benefit people over time, such as building a well, funding an institution, or supporting an orphanage. Beneficial knowledge: This includes knowledge that one has imparted to others that continues to be used and spread, such as teaching, writing books, or any other form of disseminating knowledge. A righteous child who prays for him: The supplications of a pious offspring can continue to benefit the deceased. These three forms of ongoing good deeds can provide continuous reward to a person even after they have passed away.

Humanity is being tested. We are judging, pointing fingers and continuing with our cosy lives. We find ourselves asking - What can I do sitting here? I am so busy with my job, kids and routines, I am so angry with whats happening. Here is what you can do: 1) Stop picking a side. War is the wrong decision no matter the reason. Both leaderships can choose better. 2) Be kind to the people from both places. They are not at fault, they are suffering too. Their loved ones are in pain,lost or gone. Support them with empthay. 3) Find a reliable charity to donate to. Try to avoid perishables with a short shelf life unless asked for. Aid is being sent but takes time to reach the people. Here are some reliable ways to donate -UNICEF -UNRWA -Red Crescent - Embassy of your country - Embassy of the war stricken countries. - Schools or Organisations 4) Volunteer at all sites and charities collecting. Help is needed even in your own country to organise and keep inventory. 5) Teach our kids better not to judge or form an opinion based on the media or heresay. Teach them history, economics and politics (as subjects). Let them understand the better options.
