The House – graphics demo Now this was done super quickly in a day or two, because it was just a graphics demo for a game concept I had been thinking. There is no basically any meat around it other than what you see here. I just wanted to try out the concept of mixing 2D sprites with 3D environment. And also some lighting with it. The idea and style is based on some of my very early digital art work from years ago that I remembered people liking. The dude in the pictures is also kinda relatable to me. I think it represents my brain in a way. I don’t think people ever really get over the primal fear of darkness (or unknown). They just learn how to fake it or ignore it as they get older. Cause only kids are afraid of the dark, right? I’ve always found some sort of thrill in that. And for reasons, even to this date, my mind automatically creates all sorts of spooks and goblins in every possible dark corner it gets a chance. When I was young, I was trying to watch movies about ghosts. Ofc, I was scared, but who cares, right? 😂 One of my favourites was, and still is, Ghostbusters. And guess what?
