Who wants to be a NAMI Peer Support Group Facilitator? Are you passionate about mental health and peer support? Do you want to make a difference in our mental health community? Do you want to be part of reducing stigma and providing hope to our participants? Join our team! We're holding a virtual training on August 24th & 25th from 10AM-4PM (both days are required). All are welcome to apply, and we need your applications ASAP! Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate support groups with empathy, compassion and understanding. • Enter group data into the database and maintain accurate records. • Identify potential new facilitators from support groups. • Uphold positive regards for or personal experience with mutual support. Qualifications: • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must be an individual living with a mental health condition (peer) • Must live within driving distance of our office in Warrington, PA • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive 2-day training. • Be reliable and punctual. • Make a commitment to facilitate groups for at least 1 year. • Be or become a member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). • Must obtain Act 33 & Act 34 clearances.
