In 9 days I will be leaving dentsu. Over the past 2 years I have had some amazing opportunities within my career → that honestly, I will always be grateful for. 
Dentsu has been an amazing organisation for me to grow, develop & exercise my skills in the corporate field. Amongst all of the great people & connections I’ve made, I’m exceptionally proud of the following things: → finding my niche within the Gen Z engagement space, by identifying a common problem within the workforce & steering an effective solution that actually works → mobilising a national Gen Z community by providing Gen Z employees with an opportunity to engage & connect further with their employer, to build stronger affinity which increase retention as a result → training senior leaders on best practices to get the best out of early careers talent to help the organisation innovate by connecting & understanding with the needs Gen Z talent I’m exceptionally proud of my commitment to increase the affinity between this orgnanisation & its Gen Z employees. What’s next? ↳ The next chapter in my career will allow me take my commitment for Gen Z engagement to the next level. I am thrilled to share that as I celebrate 12 incredible years at Mindshare SG, my journey continues with a new chapter as I step into the role of Business Director. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry, dedicated to delivering stellar work that they truly believe in; and having their contributions recognised by their clients and peers, alike. As I reflect on the past 12 years, I am grateful for the many opportunities to grow, and challenges that have strengthened my perspectives. And of course, the unwavering support of our Content+ team. This new chapter is not just a personal achievement for me, but a testament of the collaborative spirit and culture for innovation, here at Mindshare. Inspired by the many bosses I have encountered, over the years. To my ex-bosses, you might not have known this, but your impact is still felt: - Chen Sands - I came in bright-eyed and all keen to pioneer social media back then in 2012, and you welcomed me warmly into the team. - Christopher Smith - still one of my main go-to creative inspirations, where I recall the team always saying "do as Chris does". Your belief in me back then to helm SilkAir's pitch, gave me the courage to lead. - Jakeena Malli - one of the most brilliant innovators, I learnt to think and act quick on my feet; and of course that awesomely hectic HK disneyland work Trip together. #workisfun - Roxanne Vure - your wit and sardonic humour always made serious client situations, a little less intense. And those ramen/ dim sum meals...unforgettable - Laura D'Ambrosio - a sharp-shooting lead who practises agility in real-time, you have led the team by example- fleeting through projects and managing workloads. How Do Gen Z’s Stay Engaged At dentsu? LinkedIn🙌🏾 🔹 Last week I ran another Gen Z workshop at dentsu - for the VIZ community. 🔹 The VIZ’s is a Gen Z internal community that engages Gen Z employees & keeps them sticky within the company 🔹 I took it up North! I went to our Leeds office last week to really touch base with our Gen Z colleagues & gave them the opportunity to be apart of the amazing initiative I get to lead here at dentsu 🔹 As mentioned in a previous post, 65% of Gen Z’s are considering leaving their job this year! crazy.. I know 🤯 🔹Safe to say that the work i’m doing here is a solution to prevent this stat coming into fruition here at dentsu 🔹 Gen Z’s crave experiences at work.. something different from the typical life of a ‘9-5er’ 🔹 This time last year the community had around 9 members.. fast forward 12 months we have 150 🤯 It’s safe to say dentsu Gen Z’s are looking for an experience.. so it’s only right that we give it to them! 🔹Across this year we’ve done so much to engage Gen Z through this community, offering workshops, panel sessions, focus groups.. even roller-skating!! One Year at Ogilvy Social Lab: Reflecting on Time and Growth Time is a curious concept. It can feel like it's flying by or dragging on endlessly. But as I complete my first year at Ogilvy Social Lab, I realise time is a precious gift. It allows us to grow, learn, and evolve in ways we never thought possible.   Over the past year, I've faced challenges in the workplace that have pushed me out of my comfort zone. But through those challenges, I've grown both personally and professionally. I've learned to be more resilient, adaptable, and open-minded. And I've discovered that the most remarkable growth often comes from challenging experiences.   One of the highlights that started off as a scary choice to be made this year was the decision to return to the world of TCCC 100%. It felt that if I returned to what I knew so well, I would stunt my growth in analytics and insights, but the opposite was true. TCCC has brought me new challenges almost daily; it has forced me to adapt and adjust every few weeks to constantly optimise and improve the way I work. While sometimes difficult, being a part of an incredible team lightened the load.    I want to thank my colleagues who have given me advice, guidance, and support throughout this crazy year. Your insights and expertise have been invaluable, and I couldn't have made it this far without you.   As I look ahead to the future, I'm filled with optimism for my career and the opportunities that lie ahead. There will be more challenges to face and more lessons to learn. It's been a while since I've introduced myself to all the new connections and followers. Let me tell you more about me... I am currently working at ZS, a management consulting firm. I lead the paid digital marketing initiatives within the marketing team. I love campaign planning and delivering results from paid advertisements. The best part of digital marketing is that we can share our message from anywhere in the world using digital platforms and help others in their journey. I enjoy working in marketing as it helps build awareness and possibly generate revenue for the firm. This is one function where the results are not only dependent on numbers but also on emotions and empathy. That's the beauty of working in marketing. During the weekend, I work on my passion project, socialJJ, which helps people build their personal brand on social media. I create content on LinkedIn, X, Medium, Instagram and my personal website. I have also started with my weekly newsletter, which helps people build a solid personal brand. The details and links are in the comments section. Besides my work, I love travelling, spending time with my family, and exploring new places, ideas, and cultures. Travelling is one the best experiences as it teaches us a lot about this beautiful world we live in! Fun Fact: One of my weirdest hobbies is to collect boarding passes from all my flight trips and store them in an album. 🤔 Why haven’t you updated your LinkedIn profile to your new role? 🤔 In September, I had the honor to step permanently into the role as Global Head of Brand at Accenture.  A humble moment to be a steward of such an iconic brand.  An awesome role and responsibility. 🎉 🎉 🎉 Yet, I haven’t updated my #LinkedIn title. 😱 😭 😩 I was told this is a faux pas. 😬 👺 👻 But it was intentional.  Before I told the LinkedIn world - I wanted to have a POV on who I want to be as a #Brand leader.  A POV the work we want to do as a team, and how the LinkedIn world can help build those connections. 💡 1st, I want to remain true to the 3 core personal attributes I’ve wanted to exemplify in entire career – smart, hard-working, and kind. 🙌 With added layers A brand leader as an active driver of business.  I don’t see “brand” as a spectator sport, especially in the economic times we’re in.  Every investment decision is focused on driving opportunity.  Every relationship I build is representative of the type of person who works and does business with Accenture. 🏃♂️ Being accessible.  Accessible in the brand experience we create for all people through best-in class accessibility standards in our work, and the ability to be approachable, easy to talk to, with a helpful, roll up the sleeves get it done mentality. 😀 Consistency in how we show up. Consistency is important in the work – you should know us when you see us, and critical to build a cohesive brand. Personally, I should model consistency: strive to be the same person, with the same core attributes in the “lights” of large calls, in 1:1s and everything in between; this is important as a leader to be consistent in how you act, be humble, always treat people fairly, and treat them well.  💪 👏 Dear LinkedIn world… If you’re a current brand lead, I would love to connect. Chat.  Trade stories. I’ve had the privilege to do so already with the likes of Jim Lesser, Jim Habig, Gabrielle (Gabby) Phillips GraBois, and others... 🔥 🔥 🔥 It’s awesome, and very therapeutic. Creativity is the Spark, but Results are the Fire in Marketing! The recent merger of JWT with VMLY&R to form a separate entity VML has been an eye-opener for me, highlighting the need for a shift towards ROAS-based agencies over service-centric ones! As we navigate through the mathematics of the marketing and advertising industry, one thing has become abundantly clear: the era of service-based agencies is undergoing a transformative shift. We're no longer in a world where clients simply expect services; they now demand measurable results and that's fair and practical. When I retrospect JWT's remarkable 94-year legacy as one of India's premier marketing and advertising agencies, they were renowned for their exceptional service, iconic campaigns, and creativity. However, times change, and so do the demands of our clients. The announcement of JWT's merger to be VML, under the umbrella of WPP, serves as a prime example of the industry's shifting dynamics. This move signifies a growing preference for agencies that prioritize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) over traditional service models. While opinions on this merger may differ, I believe the decision-makers have carefully considered the evolving industry landscape, client expectations, and emerging trends. As we are approaching the New Year it’s a great way to reflect and review the previous year while preparing for the year to come. We wanted to touch on another important aspect of setting your intentions, and that is that your intentions are genuine and healthy. Yes it’s obviously important to excercise and include movement in your daily life, but to vow to excercise everyday is too extreme and unnecessary. The body needs a break to refuel and rest. Bottom line is that in general we need to strive for balance as emphasized by Bruce Lee. Excercising but not over excercising, the same goes with any activity or practice. Also want to stress the worth of setting more minor, daily intentions for yourself. It can be more manageable less devastating to break things down and set checkpoints for ourselves.
